Text Box: Hi John,
I’m sure glad I got to meet you and talk to you a the re-union– even tho we didn’t serve on the Stone at the same time, I still feel like we were all shipmates.
Here are a few cartoons I’ve been saving ever since I was in Alaska in 51 and I thought maybe you might be able to salvage a few of them & put them in the Newsletter, just for laughs. I don’t want them back.
You were right about all the sea stories around the tables. Even tho most or all of them were true, we would have a hard time convincing a landlubber.
Do what you can with the cartoons—the one of Popeye is a real winner—and we hop to see you in Texas in 06.
Vince and Joan Leopold

Text Box: Letters to the Editor

Text Box: Vince, I appreciate your submissions. Our shipmates really enjoy pictures from the crew members.  I too, really enjoyed the Seattle reunion and I’m looking forward to more great times in Corpus Christi.
(note to other shipmates, if you enjoyed Vince’s cartoons and Everett’s pictures and story, just think how much the shipmates would enjoy YOUR stories and/or pictures.  Just send them to me and I’ll be pleased to do the rest.)
Thanks,
John
