I felt fortunate to see how LSDs have evolved.  They still play an important role in Navel amphibious operations.  There are newer ships destined to replace them, but the same idea lives on.

I have volunteered to be the news letter editor. Don and Kay have done an excellent job and I have a really hard act to follow.   Actually it will be a partnership between Kay Goble and me.    She will take care of parts of the newsletter and have it printed and mailed.
