Text Box: Our prayers continue for our shipmates whose lives have been affected by recent hurricanes. The Whetstone family sends their love and prayers to you.  Our relationships with others are so important all the time, but especially so in times of tragedy.
Love builds relationships. 1 John 4:15-17 (NLT) "All who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them...We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in him.  God is love... And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect.  So we will not be afraid."
Those of you affected by the hurricanes, please keep us informed of your prayer requests so we know specifically what to pray for.  Our Whetstone family is praying for you.
May God keep you in His everlasting arms.
We love all of our
Whetstone family.

Text Box: Kids and Church
I had been teaching my three-year old daughter, Caitlin, the Lord's Prayer for several evenings at bedtime, she would repeat after me the lines from the prayer.  Finally, she decided to go solo.  I listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word right up to the end of the prayer:  "Lead us not into temptation," she prayed, "but deliver us some E-mail.”
A Sunday school teacher asked her children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?"  One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping.."
